Matt Mancuso and Dónal Murphy form a dynamic, world-class Irish musical duo whose combined experience spans decades of international touring, award-winning performances, and deep roots in traditional Irish music. New York-born Mancuso, a multi-instrumentalist and All-Ireland champion, blends virtuosic fiddle playing with jazz influences and has performed globally with groups such as Lord of the Dance, Gráda, Cathie Ryan, and Eileen Ivers. Murphy, a Limerick native and multiple All-Ireland titleholder on button accordion and melodeon, is a founding member of Four Men and a Dog and a driving force behind Breaking Trad, with an extensive career performing alongside some of Ireland’s most celebrated artists. Together, they bring technical brilliance, rich storytelling, and infectious energy which will make them exceptional guides for an immersive musical journey through Ireland. Contact us at osullivanscourthousetours@gmail.com DAY 1 Ancient Ireland, Mountain Views & Medieval Magic Your Irish adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Bunratty Castle Hotel, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers before setting off for a journey through the Dublin Mountains to enjoy our first group lunch at the legendary Johnny Fox’s Pub. Established in 1798 and famous as Ireland’s highest pub, it’s the perfect place to experience warm Irish hospitality, delicious food, and unforgettable mountain views. We then will venture onward for the breathtaking monastic settlement of Glendalough in County Wicklow. Nestled in the heart of Ireland’s stunning Wicklow Mountains National Park, this sixth-century sanctuary offers a fascinating glimpse into Ireland’s early Christian heritage, surrounded by lakes, forests, and spectacular scenery. From there, we’ll travel through the incredible picturesque Wicklow mountains and continue to the enchanting medieval city of Kilkenny, our home for the next two nights. We’ll stay at the elegant 4-star River Court Hotel, perfectly situated overlooking the magnificent Kilkenny Castle. For those still full of energy, the evening continues with a visit to Kilkenny’s longest-running traditional Irish music session. Bring your singing voice, your favorite story, or simply your sense of fun-you’re in for a truly authentic Irish night! DAY 2 Discover Medieval Kilkenny No Driving Day After breakfast, we’ll step back in time with a guided walk along Kilkenny’s famous Medieval Mile, uncovering centuries of fascinating stories, hidden gems, and architectural treasures. We’ll then enjoy a visit to the impressive Kilkenny Castle, one of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Wander through charming cobbled streets, discover ancient cathedrals, browse artisan shops, or simply relax in one of the city’s welcoming cafés. This evening, we’ll gather for a group dinner at the hotel before heading out to experience one of Ireland’s favorite traditions-live music, lively conversation, and plenty of craic in a local pub. DAY 3 Whiskey, History & West Cork Welcome Today we leave Kilkenny behind and travel south toward the beautiful landscapes of West Cork. Along the way, we’ll stop in Midleton, home of the world-famous Jameson Distillery. We’ll visit the moving Kindred Spirits Monument, a remarkable tribute to the friendship between Ireland and the Choctaw Nation, before enjoying the celebrated Jameson Experience, where you’ll discover the story behind one of Ireland’s most famous exports. This evening, it’s time to embrace Irish culture firsthand with a lively set dancing lesson. No experience required-just bring your enthusiasm! Afterwards, we’ll head to the pub for an unforgettable traditional music session featuring a special guest performer. DAY 4 Rebels, History & Hidden Beauty Today we venture deeper into the heart of West Cork and catch our first glimpse of the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way. Known as Ireland’s “Rebel County,” Cork played a pivotal role in the country’s struggle for independence. We’ll visit two important historical sites that bring this fascinating chapter of Irish history vividly to life. In the afternoon, we’ll slow the pace and immerse ourselves in the tranquil beauty of Gougane Barra, one of Ireland’s most picturesque and peaceful locations. Here we’ll enjoy a gourmet lunch surrounded by mountains, lakes, and ancient woodland, followed by free time to explore this magical setting at your leisure. DAYS 5, 6, 7 The Dingle Peninsula: Ireland at Its Most Spectacular For the next three nights, we’ll welcome you to our home region-the stunning Dingle Peninsula, one of Ireland’s most celebrated destinations. Over these unforgettable days you’ll experience: The golden sands and dramatic scenery of Inch Beach A very special live concert experience A fascinating archaeological journey around Slea Head A breathtaking drive to Europe’s western edge, where rugged cliffs, crashing Atlantic waves, and unforgettable views await Traditional Irish music Unique local experiences and a few special surprises that we’ll keep under wraps-for now! Prepare for some of the most beautiful landscapes, memorable music, and authentic cultural experiences Ireland has to offer. DAY 8 Welcome to County Clare Today we travel north to the charming town of Ennis in County Clare, where we’ll spend the next two nights at the historic 4-star Old Ground Hotel. Originally an 18th-century manor house, this beautifully restored hotel combines old-world elegance with modern comfort. After settling in, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through Ennis and visit one of our favorite traditional pubs, where locals and visitors come together to enjoy great music, conversation, and atmosphere. DAY 9 The Cliffs of Moher by Sea Many visitors see the Cliffs of Moher from above-but today you’ll experience them from their most spectacular viewpoint: the sea. We’ll board a boat and cruise beneath these awe-inspiring cliffs, which rise over 700 feet (214 meters) above the Atlantic Ocean. Named after the ancient Gaelic word Mhothair, meaning “ruined fort,” the cliffs reveal their true scale and majesty when viewed from the water. We’ll sail beneath O’Brien’s Tower and see the site of the ancient Moher Tower, from which the cliffs take their name. Later, we’ll visit the charming coastal village of Doolin, famous worldwide for its traditional music and colorful streetscapes. This evening, we’ll gather one final time for a special Farewell Dinner, celebrating new friendships, unforgettable memories, and the journey we’ve shared across Ireland. DAY 10 Slán Go Fóill (Until We Meet Again) After breakfast, a group shuttle will transfer guests from the hotel to Shannon Airport. Departure times will be arranged according to guests’ flight schedules. As your Irish adventure comes to an end, you’ll leave with incredible memories, new friends, and a deeper connection to Ireland’s landscapes, culture, music, and people.
