The PH05 exists for exactly that moment. At 12mm, the bristle head is the most compact in the Pro Handy line — and it's filled entirely with pine squirrel hair (松リス毛). Where PH04 uses a grey squirrel and horse blend to cover the lid with softness and structure, PH05 distills the formula down to pine squirrel alone: extraordinarily fine, with a natural point that holds its shape under the lightest pressure. There's no horse hair here to add firmness because at this scale, firmness would work against you — what's needed is a tip that yields to the contour of the eye socket and deposits color in a footprint no larger than the brush itself. Tap it into a pan of shadow and touch it to the outer V; the pigment goes where the brush goes and nowhere else. Work it along the waterline or lower lash line for a smudged depth that looks deliberate without looking drawn on. Drag the very tip through a lighter shade and trace the inner corner in a single stroke. Every application is a small, specific decision — and the PH05 executes each one without drift.
