Little Sea (Cubaris murina) Isopods Cubaris murina “Little Sea” isopods are small (approx. 1 cm), hardy, and prolific, making them excellent, easy-to-care-for beginner pets and bioactive cleanup crews. Native to tropical coastal areas worldwide, they thrive in high-humidity environments (80-90%) with deep, moist substrate (sphagnum moss), leaf litter, and temperatures of 70-80°F. Providing at least six inches of substrate allows them to exhibit natural behaviors and supports successful molts and reproduction.
