Wood block

A 14 inch long, 7.5 inch wide, and 6.75 inch high wood block, used as part of a block and tackle system for more easily lifting heavy loads. The main body is made of wood, and it holds two wood pulleys (sheaves). The attachment hardware at top and bottom of block is made of metal. Blocks are a key structural component that supports the pulleys and allows the rope or cable to run through them.
