I Made a Midwife Card for 40th Baby
I made a midwife card. Reaching your 40 catches is one of the biggest milestones in your midwifery training journey and I know that many student midwives like to give a card or gift to the baby and family of their 40th birth. I designed this card specifically for you as a student midwife, to give to the family who were part of your 40th birth. Because that family did something extraordinary for you, and a card from a mainstream shop just doesn't say that. I hand-drew the illustration of a baby being carried by a stork, and had it printed with a gloss finish on the front so it feels special the moment you hand it over. The back is not glossy so you can write your personal message easily with a biro. I've included an envelope with every card, because I wanted the mother to be able to tuck it away and read it in her own time, without feeling any pressure to respond in the moment. And if she wants to use it as a newborn photo prop, the postcard format works beautifully for that too. This is a card I made for you, because I know how much your 40 births milestone means. What should I give to my 40th birth family? A heartfelt card is a beautiful way to thank the family who were part of your 40 catches milestone. I designed this card specifically for that moment, because nothing in a mainstream card shop will have babies with placentas on! Is there a card specifically for student midwives reaching their 40 catches? Yes, I designed this exclusively for student midwives to give to their 40th birth family. You won't find it anywhere else except studentmidwifeshop.co.uk What do other student midwives give to their 40th birth family? Many student midwives like to mark their 40 births with a small gift or card for the family involved. I made this card exactly for that purpose, so it feels meaningful for both you and the family who helped you get there. Why does a postcard come with an envelope? I include an envelope because I wanted the mother to be able to choose when she reads it. Being handed a card at a birth can feel like pressure to respond straight away, and with an envelope she can open it when she's ready, in her own time. Can I use it as a photo prop? Yes! The postcard format works beautifully as a newborn photo prop, and many families love having something meaningful to include in their first photos with their baby. Is the front glossy? Yes, the front has a gloss finish and the back is silk so you can write on it easily with a biro. Is this available in other designs?
