As much as we love the Xyber, the suspension is just not quite up to the same standard as the rest of the bike. For most of our customers, it is undersprung and underdamped. After much trial and error and even more testing, we are able to offer upgrade springs for your fork. These are installed along with the stock springs and installation can be done quickly by most people. For riders under 175 pounds, we recommend the Soft spring. For riders between 175 and 230 pounds, we recommend the Medium spring. For riders above 230 pounds, we recomment the Hard spring *Custom spring rates can be accommodated; contact us for details. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Instructions Use a 22mm socket or wrench to remove the gray fork top cap. Compress the fork slightly to expose the locknut under the top cap. It is tightened against the top cap. Use a 19mm wrench on the locknut and your preferred tool on the top cap and loosen them both, breaking them free of each other. Remove the top cap and locknut. Insert the new spring, followed by the washer. Thread locknut fully onto fork shaft, followed by top cap. Tighten top cap and locknut against each other firmly. It does not need to be super tight. Thread top cap into fork. Tighten firmly, but again, not super tight. This is an aluminum nut and will strip if over torqued. Segway does not specify a torque for this fastener. Repeat for the other side.
