Ercol Elm Drop Leaf Dining Table / Vintage MCM Extending Round Kitchen Table

A classic mid-century Ercol drop leaf dining table in solid elm, recently stripped back from its original dark stain to reveal that absolutely stunning natural grain. The top is the star here -bold, swirling elm figuring with beautiful tonal variation. Now left in a lighter, more contemporary finish, it works perfectly in modern farmhouse, Scandinavian or retro interiors. The base has been left in its original dark form adding a contrasting feature. The drop leaves are supported by pull-out wooden supports beneath the top. Fully open, it makes a generous round dining table seating four comfortably. With one or both leaves down, it becomes a neat space-saving table ideal for kitchens, smaller dining areas or against a wall. Classic splayed legs with cross stretcher base - everything you’d expect from good honest Ercol design. Practical, well made and built to last. Condition Structurally solid and sturdy. Table has been stripped from its original dark stained finish to reveal the natural elm grain. Minor age-related marks and light signs of use consistent with a vintage piece. Leaves pull out smoothly and supports operate as they should. Overall very good vintage condition with excellent colour and character.
