2022 Holden Manz Good Sport

This South African interpretation of Port is crafted with Syrah grapes that have been left to overripen on the vine for an additional two weeks, resulting in a concentrated sweetness. After fortification with grape spirits the wine was transferred from tank to 2 year old 225 litre French oak barrels and matured for 12 months before bottling and sealing by hand. Enjoy over the next 10 years. Tasting Note: Smooth, soft entry with sweet fruits, fynbos honeyed nougat and pleasant acidity on the palate. This wine is rich and warm with long length and finish. Pairing Suggestion: Chocolate fondant desert with raspberry coulis or a platter of local farm-made cheeses. Alcohol: 19% Origin: South Africa Blend: Syrah
