164 - 174 MHz Bandpass Filter
PRODUCT OVERVIEW This inline bandpass filter passes the full 164 to 174 MHz range while rejecting out-of-band interference from FM broadcast, cellular, paging, and adjacent land mobile radio signals that routinely degrade receiver performance in this part of the spectrum. APPLICATIONS Broadcast and Production Audio Compatible with Lectrosonics IFB systems used to feed programme audio and director cues to on-camera talent and production crew, reducing dropouts and noise in dense RF environments such as broadcast facilities, sports venues, and live events. Electronic News Gathering (ENG) Protects VHF wireless receiver front ends used by ENG crews in urban environments, compatible with VHF systems from Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, Shure, and other professional wireless manufacturers operating in this band. Public Safety and P25 Networks Provides essential pre-selection filtering for APCO P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 digital radio systems operated by municipal fire departments, police services, and emergency medical services (EMS) in the upper VHF public safety bands. Government and Federal Agencies Suitable for federal law enforcement and land management agencies including the USFS, BLM, NPS, and RCMP operating tactical and administrative frequencies assigned within the 162–174 MHz spectrum. Wildlife Telemetry and Animal Tracking Rejects FM broadcast and other strong out-of-band signals that desensitise scanning receivers and Yagi-based tracking systems used to locate VHF-collared wildlife, compatible with receivers from Telonics, ATS, Lotek, and similar platforms. IoT and Smart Metering (169 MHz ISM Band) Protects base station receivers and data concentrators operating in the European 169.4–169.8125 MHz IoT allocation for smart electricity, gas, and water meters from adjacent VHF land mobile interference. Hydrology and Environmental Monitoring Facilitates clean signal reception for GOES Data Collection Platforms (DCPs) and remote hydrology, water quality, and weather sensors transmitting in the 162–174 MHz range. NOAA Weather Radio and Meteorological Systems Reduces VHF land mobile and adjacent-band interference for meteorological and environmental monitoring receivers operating near the NOAA Weather Radio band at 162.4–162.55 MHz. Maritime Mobile Service Supports maritime coastal stations, port operations, and port security communications operating in the upper VHF marine band, including duplex channels in the 164–174 MHz range. Railroad Communications Optimised for the AAR (Association of American Railroads) frequency plan, ensuring clean signal reception for locomotive voice communications and EOT (End of Train) telemetry devices operating in the VHF band. Business and Industrial Land Mobile Protects private radio networks used by utilities, transportation companies, and heavy industry for voice communications and low-speed data telemetry operating on licensed VHF channels in this range.
