THERE ARE A LOT OF NUANCES IN WORKING WITH INLAYS !!! 🧠 DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Hard. 📁 FILE FORMATS: Here is the Vectric file for the CNC inlay, built using the same structure, layer logic, and toolpath types I use in my own shop. You will receive it in four different formats: AI, DXF, SVG, and CRV. 💻 SOFTWARE VERSION: All files were created in VCarve Pro version 11.5 Please make sure you can open them before purchasing. 📦 WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE CRV FILE: • Separate toolpaths for the pocket • Separate vector layers and toolpaths for the inlay insert • Baseline Inlay Parameters may still require fine-tuning depending on your router bit and milling depth ⏱️ ESTIMATED CARVING TIME: Approximately 7 hours for both the pocket and the inlay insert. 🎯 VECTOR QUALITY: All vector artwork is clean, precise, and free of artifacts — optimized for smooth toolpaths and perfect inlay fits. The design is suitable not only for CNC carving but also for laser cutting and engraving. 🛠️ RECOMMENDED TOOLING AND SETUP: • I use a TBN (Tapered Ball Nose) bit with a 12.4° angle • Other bits can be used as long as the cutting depth is reduced accordingly • Design is layered for easy color separation — ideal for multitone or contrasting wood combinations 🌳 RECOMMENDED WOOD TYPES FOR BEST RESULTS: • Pocket (base): walnut. • Inlay insert: maple. 📬 SUPPORT CONTACT: If you encounter any issues with downloading, please email us at broinwood@gmail.com
