These unique pieces are the almost magical result of firing (baking) in a historic Arab kiln and the mastery of its potters in Úbeda (Jaén). Operating an Arab kiln requires extraordinary preliminary work from master artisans who, with their hands, effort, and dedication, mold, glaze, and decorate hundreds of pieces, pitchers, washbasins, platters... even statues! These pieces will remain in the Arab kiln for more than 30 hours, heated by pomace (crushed olive pits), reaching a temperature of 1000ºC, and always under the watchful eye of potters knowledgeable in techniques used for centuries, which they continue to pass down from generation to generation. When the kiln cools, unique and unrepeatable objects begin to appear, with glazes full of nuances and the strength of clay fired over time, created by the hands and techniques of the artisans and the alchemy that occurs within the Arab kiln.
