Vintage 1970s Omega De Ville Jeux d’Argent
The timeless designs of esteemed jeweller Andrew Grima present themselves in this outstanding 1974 Jeux d’Argent Omega De Ville. As the model’s name suggests, both the Omega Watch Company (OWC) case and integrated bracelet are fashioned of sterling silver, making this timepiece just as much jewellery as it is watch The brushed silvered dial features a most uncommon ‘slashed/linen’ type finish. It remains in tremendous condition and is decorated by white stick indices and matching stick hands For rows of sterling silver double curb links form the integrated bracelet, presented in wonderful condition and without signs of stretching. It’s fastened securely via a sliding barrel clasp bearing the Omega logo as well as 925 fineness stamps The solid sterling silver ‘allongée’ case is in excellent condition and is stamped to the outside at 9 o’clock with the ‘Gentian Flower’ Switzerland’s hallmark for sterling silver The inside of the snap on case back is also stamped with the Gentian flower alongside British import marks for London 1974 and a ‘0.925’ fineness mark The faceted emerald cut mineral crystal glass remains in great condition Presented in its original ‘Jeux d’Argent’ suede sleeve The iconic and ever reliable Omega Cal.625 manual wind movement runs smoothly and keeps good time Case width - 28mm Case height - 21mm Bracelet width - 33mm Bracelet length including head - 18.7cm
