Begonia filiformis 'Irmsch' is a rare and dainty species begonia with fine, fern-like foliage that gives it a soft, delicate presence quite unlike the broad-leaved begonias. Origins Begonia filiformis is native to the limestone karst regions of southern China (Guangxi) and northern Vietnam, where it grows on shaded, humid limestone faces. It belongs to Begonia section Coelocentrum and was first described by Irmscher in 1939.
