Cyprus 1881 (Feb) ½1/2d on 1d red, type 3 (18mm) surcharge, plate 216, lettered 'BG' and showing the 'HALF-PENN' variety (with traces of the 'Y' present as always), SG7a. Brilliant mint example with part original gum. Corner gum crease immaterial to overall lovely appearance. A very rare variety and the best quality example we have ever seen.
