This galvanic isolator prevents electrolytic current by blocking conduction below a certain voltage and allows current above that threshold. It is installed behind the boat’s 230V connection and has a warranty of 5 years.

• The forward voltage from the isolator is higher than the potential difference between metals.
• If there is an error voltage in the AC circuit, the diodes will allow current through and the residual-current device will break the circuit.
