Small Japanese Satsuma hand painted vase

This small Japanese Satsuma vase is decorated with a pretty hand painted and gilded scene of ducks on a pond surrounded by lush foliage, large colourful flowers and bamboo. There is a wide band of gilding to the shoulder, with raised gilt flowers and more gilding to the rim and foot. It stands 127 mm (5 inches) high and has a diameter of 82 mm (3.25 inches). It is in very good condition with only some very minor loss of the gilding. It would date from the 1920's. This item will incur a shipping charge post purchase to the buyer.
