The sheath is fully waterproof, so rain and blood will run straight off. No oiling, no drying out, no rot. Wipe it down and it's done. This pack is tough but light on your belt. The Vellum is a skinning blade done properly, taper-ground high quality stainless, with a grippy polypropylene handle that doesn't slip wet.
