Palestinian embroidery, or tatreez, once decorated rural women’s clothing and reflected social standing, marital status, and skill. Though much of rural life was lost after 1948, tatreez endures as a vibrant handicraft and a cherished link to heritage. Today, it is gifted and worn by Palestinians worldwide on festive occasions.
