Sand - Pichwai

Inspired by the traditional Indian art form of Pichwai painting, this richly detailed landscape celebrates the beauty and abundance of nature. Originally created as a bespoke commission for designer Shalini Misra, the design draws inspiration from Pichwai paintings, originally created as devotional artworks, renowned for their intricate detail and storytelling.Our artists have delicately hand-painted this enchanting scene, which has been beautifully rendered in print onto textured linens, grasscloths and pearlescent papers. Beneath decorative clouds, an imagined sanctuary unfolds, abundant with mango, banana and banyan trees surrounding lotus-filled ponds. Peacocks and cranes roam among the foliage, while playful monkeys hide within the canopy, inviting endless discovery throughout this serene design.
