***PLEASE NOTE THIS WINE IS IN MAGNUM FORMAT, 1.5 LITRE BOTTLE*** Grape Variety: Riesling Producer: 2Naturkinder (Melanie Drese and Michael Völker) Region: Kitzingen, Franken, Germany Certified Organic Wild Scale: 3/5 Vegan Friendly Wine 12.5% alcohol Winemaking: Organic Riesling grapes from a single, low yielding plot were harvested by hand. Whole bunch, direct press into a single 600 litre barrel before fermentation with indigenous yeast. Aged here for 16 months. No fining, filtration or added sulphur. This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium to full body. 2Naturkinder's second outing the Brutal!!! label but this time, it's Riesling! Michael is good friends with Antony Tortul (La Sorga) who co-founded the Brutal Wine project which focuses on zero-zero winemakers and celebrates experimental cuvées. After a terrible bout of frost, Michael used the remaining grapes which were of extremely high quality. Just one barrel made. Notes on the Winemaker: Melanie and Michael fell in love with natural wine whilst living just up the road from the bar (Archway) many years ago and decided they must return to Michael's father's winery in the small town of Kitzingen and convert everything to organic winemaking with no use of additives including sulphur. They are dedicated to produce wines that are alive and a true reflection of nature. We visited in 2018 and they are 2 of the most welcoming, knowledgeable and inspiring people you can meet.
