Ready to take your spinning to the next level? Join us for a hands-on, two-hour workshop focused on the delicate art of supported spindle spinning. Designed for spinners familiar with drop spindles or wheels (or ambitious beginners!), this class teaches the fundamentals of supported spinning and the efficiency of the long-draw technique. What We’ll Cover: Spindles & Bowls: We’ll discuss different types of supported spindles and their merits, as well as potential spinning surfaces. Fiber Prep: Work specifically with rolags optimized for long draw. Technique: Master the draft & spin rhythms of supported long-draw spinning without the weight of a suspended spindle pulling on your draft zone. Class Details & Requirements: Class Size: Limited to 8 students Duration: 2 Hours Skill Level: Advanced beginner to Intermediate (it's helpful if you understand basic drafting principles, but enthusiastic beginners are welcome!). Materials: All spindles, bowls, and fiber prep will be provided!
