Fall-Themed Kinusaiga Workshop - w/ Rebecca Gose
Event Overview: Learn the Japanese inspired art of Kinusaiga, a fabric inlay technique which produces a beautiful two dimensional picture. In this class, we’ll cut thin slits into a foam surface and press fabric pieces into the grooves to create a fall themed design—no sewing required. I will provide the 6"x6" foam base, adhesive, design, and instructions for finishing and framing your piece at home. Depending on your pace, you may not complete the entire project during class, but you’ll leave with everything you need to finish it confidently. Please bring: An X-Acto knife with a fresh blade A seam ripper Scissors Fabric scraps ranging from approximately 4" to 12" or larger Cotton fabrics work especially well, and a mix of colors, textures, and patterns will give you the most creative options.
