Cats Drive Jacket

TCB Jeans based the design of their Cats Drive Jacket on a vintage denim tux from the cowboy brand dating back to the late 1940's to the 50s. For this revival, TCB decided to revisit one specific element: the fabric. Previously, they used EMOT cotton—a blend sourced from East Memphis, New Orleans, and Texas—with 5.7-count warp yarns and 6.7-count weft yarns. While they have kept the EMOT, they adjusted both the warp and weft yarns to a 6-count thickness. Furthermore, by creating longer slub irregularities in the yarn, the fabric generates more pronounced variations on the fabric surface to achieve those elongated, streaky fading patterns.
