The wine is medium-bodied and has a fine tannin structure with grippy tannins that balance well with the fruit and acidity. The aftertaste is long and irresistibly spicy This is an excellent food wine that goes best with flavorful dishes of light meat, ricotta pasta, aged hard cheeses and cooked mushrooms.
