The Aussie Hound - Belt-Utility Knife

"The Aussie Hound" Belt/Utility Knife This fully-quenched, blue-backed blade is forged from 8670 high carbon steel. This piece has my standard forge marked/acid soaked flats for contrast and a beveled spine and corners for comfort, this blade also has a file worked thumb rest for better control. This blade has a 4 1/2" cutting edge and is 8 3/4" overall, weighing in at 6.9 oz. The entire blade has a been etched, tang and all. The handle scales are A-grade straight Gidgee wood done in my "palm swell" style with Red G-10 tang liners. The handle scales are secured with a Brass pin and matching lanyard liner (as a 2nd pin) along with a mosaic center pin for accent. This knife comes with a border tooled and two-tone leather pouch sheath with a matching tooled belt loop by Gerald Harper, Saddle Mountain Leather.
