Gattinara Nervi Conterno 2016 is a benchmark expression of Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte, notable for marking the first profound influence from Roberto Conterno on this historic estate. The wine`s structural definition is rooted in its origin in the volcanic and porphyry soils of the specific Valferana or Molsino crus, known for imparting iron-rich minerality. Following fermentation, it spent 36 months in a mix of French and Slavonian oak barrels, resulting in a medium-bodied and intensely structured palate, defined by high, fine-grained tannins and a brilliant acidity that provides tremendous classical drive.
