Embraer® E190 PP-XMA
Click Here To Custom Engrave PlaneTags Before the Embraer E190 became one of the world's most successful regional jets, one aircraft had to prove it could. Crafted from the very first Embraer E190 prototype, registration PP-XMA, these authentic PlaneTags preserve the aircraft that helped certify a new generation of commercial aviation. From its maiden flight in 2004 to its role in London City Airport's steep-approach certification, PP-XMA paved the way for hundreds of E190s now flying passengers around the world. Each individually serialized PlaneTag is made from authentic aircraft skin, giving collectors the opportunity to own a genuine piece of aviation history. OUR PLANE'S STORY As the first Embraer E190 prototype ever built, PP-XMA played a vital role in developing one of the world's most successful regional aircraft families. Rather than carrying airline passengers, it spent years conducting flight testing, collecting data, and helping engineers certify the E190 for commercial service. One of its most notable achievements came in 2009, when PP-XMA completed steep-approach testing at London City Airport. The demanding certification allowed the E190 to operate into one of the world's most challenging commercial airports, expanding its capabilities and opening new opportunities for airlines. After retiring in 2021, the aircraft was preserved by MotoArt, where authentic aluminum from the prototype was transformed into individually serialized PlaneTags in Torrance, California. Today, PP-XMA's legacy continues through PlaneTags, preserving the aircraft that helped launch an entire generation of Embraer E-Jets. Read more on our aviation history blog. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag.
