Georgian Diamond Poissarde Earrings

A beautiful pair of Georgian diamond poissarde earrings, circa 1800–1820, set with foil-backed rose-cut diamonds. The diamonds have an estimated total weight of approximately 1.30 carats, with the largest measuring 7mm across. Poissarde earrings became fashionable in France around the turn of the 19th century and are distinguished by their characteristic hoop form and front-to-back fastening.
