Julian Schaal Grand Cru Rosacker Riesling - Alsace, France A pale to medium lemon color, reflecting its youth and vibrancy, this Alsatian white wine offers intense aromas of lime, lemon, and grapefruit. The subtle mineral undertone reflects the unique terroir of Rosacker, and the first sip reveals a bright and lively acidity, a hallmark of Riesling. The Grand Cru Rosacker spans an expansive land along the north side of the village of Hunawihr, sitting at elevations ranging from 260 to 330 meters. The east/south-east-facing hillside opens a window to the spectacular view of the Alsace plain. The grapes undergo manual harvesting and are pressed whole bunch, with a prolonged, gentle pressing. Cool, natural fermentation extends for up to three months, followed by several months of aging.
