Stedelijk Museum Kampen 2-Pack
The Stedelijk Museum Kampen 2-Pack brings together both designs from our museum collection: 'Winter Landscape with Skaters' by Hendrick Avercamp and 'Resting IJssel Cattle' by Jan Voerman sr. Two artists, one city. Avercamp was born in Kampen in 1585 and captured the coldest winter in forty years on panel. Voerman was born there in 1857 as a farmer's son and spent his entire life painting the IJssel landscape, a stone's throw from his birthplace. They never knew each other. They lived 270 years apart. But they shared the same corner of the Netherlands, and now they share the same box. The cream Avercamp sock and the green Voerman sock are further apart in spirit than you might expect: one frozen, the other in full summer bloom. Together they tell the story of Kampen across the centuries, every detail knitted in with precision. Limited Edition – Exclusive Museum Collection This set contains both designs. The Avercamp design is based on a work on loan from a private collection, on display in the exhibition 'Avercamp terug in Kampen' (Stedelijk Museum Kampen, 3 October 2026 to 10 January 2027). The Voerman design is based on a work from the museum's permanent collection. Both designs are a one-time release. The 2-pack is the quickest way to secure both before one sells out.
