WORKSHOP: Ice Dyeing

Instructor: Jill Zielinski Class Size: Maximum 8 students per session / minimum 4 students Suggested Age: 16 and up Ice Dye Workshop Join us at North Bay Fiber for a colorful, hands-on Ice Dye Workshop! During this fun two-hour workshop, you'll create your own one-of-a-kind North Bay Fiber logo t-shirt using powder dyes and the magic of melting ice. No two shirts are ever alike, making each one a wearable work of art. Jill will guide you through the ice dyeing process. After the workshop, North Bay Fiber will complete the batching, rinsing, washing, and drying process to ensure your item is ready to wear when you pick it up! Whether you've never dyed fabric before or you're looking for a fun creative experience, this workshop is perfect for all skill levels. Workshop Details Cost: $65 After you purchase your spot in the class, we will reach out to you to ask what shirt size you want. Your registration includes: One white North Bay Fiber crew neck short-sleeve logo t-shirt (sizes Small–3XL) All dyes and workshop materials Two hour of guided instruction Professional washing and finishing by North Bay Fiber Pickup of your finished shirt a 3-5 days after class (you'll be notified when it's ready) Optional Add-Ons Want to dye even more? Add one or two additional items to your workshop! Bring one additional garment of your choice (must be 100% cotton; no larger than a sweatshirt) — +$15 Additional North Bay Fiber crew neck logo t-shirt (sizes Small–3XL available) — +$25 North Bay Fiber baseball hat — +$30 North Bay Fiber canvas tote bag — +$20 Please note: Our North Bay Fiber canvas tote bags are made from a heavier-weight fabric than our t-shirts. Because of the thicker canvas construction, they absorb dye differently. Every tote is one of a kind, and the finished results will differ from those achieved on the t-shirts. Add-On Information After you register for the workshop, North Bay Fiber will contact you by email or phone to see if you'd like to add any optional items to your workshop experience. If you choose to add additional items, we'll send you a separate invoice prior to the workshop. To allow time for preparation, all add-ons must be finalized and paid for at least 3 days before your workshop date. Each workshop participant may add up to two (2) additional items. Pinconning, Michigan 🗓 Saturday, August 8, 2026 🕙 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Workshop Length: 2 hour (workshop often is done in less than two hours) Class Size: Maximum 8 students per session / Minimum of 4 students What to Wear Ice dyeing is creative—and sometimes a little messy! Gloves and face mask will be provided, but we recommend wearing clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a little dye on. Important Information Your dyed items will remain at North Bay Fiber after class so we can complete the dyeing process and wash and dry them. You'll be notified as soon as your items are ready for pickup. Because every piece is dyed by hand, each finished garment will be completely unique. No previous dyeing experience is necessary—just bring your creativity! ________________________________ CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change! If you need to cancel your knitting class reservation, please let the shop know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else. Cancellations 48+ hours in advance: You’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule within 30 days. Cancellations within 24-48 hours: A 50% refund or rescheduling (if space allows). No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours: Unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund, as your reserved spot could have gone to another participant. Since class sizes are limited, last-minute cancellations mean lost opportunities for others and impact the time and materials we've set aside. We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping things fair for everyone! If we cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances you’ll have an option to receive a full refund or to reschedule within 30 days.
