Shortest Day II

SUMMER SALE £55 I have two allotments, one of which I recently acquired and am still in process of recovery from decades of neglect… even though I’m not actually planting or harvesting much during the winter months I spend a lot of time over the chilly, misty, short winter months on my plot - and love the quiet, stillness of nature of my little bit of land in the city. I started this series of Monotypes, rolling layers of colour and impressing marks slowly, letting images emerge and define themselves over several weeks – it seems to resonate with the growing and tending of the plot.
