Irache 1891 Rosé

This is a Grenache based Rosé, differentiated from the other Irache Rosado that is mostly Tempranillo. By comparison this wine is darker in colour, and more fruity. Surprisingly complex and impressive wine for the price point. Electric bright pink colour, wild strawberry, watermelon, dried cranberry & hibiscus. Dry but not high acid, rich palate weight with red berries, red capsicum, and wet stone. Newly arrived Rosado (Rosé) from Navarre. 1891 celebrates the year that Irache was established, outside the town of the same name and adjacent to the 10th century Monastery that both of them. This is roughly halfway between Logrono (the heart of Rioja) and Pamplona (the capital of Navarre).
