A single tablespoon per gallon of water gives you a working solution for soaking gear between uses, and one 16 oz bottle makes up to 250 gallons. Built for people who move gear between a quarantine tub and a pond, handle multiple fish in a session, or bring bowls and nets home from shows and dealers. Good gear hygiene is the least glamorous part of this hobby and the easiest part to skip. Organic material greatly reduces effectiveness. Standard Dose: Add 1 tablespoon (15 mL) per gallon of water in a clean plastic or rubber container. Do not use metal containers. Heavy Soil: Add 1 fl oz (30 mL) per gallon. Soak: Fully submerge equipment. Standard use: 10 minutes. Heavy soil: 30–60 minutes. Rinse: Rinse all equipment thoroughly in clean water before it contacts fish. Replace: Change the solution daily, or whenever it looks dirty or cloudy. Important Restrictions: Do not add Dip Defender to a pond, tank, or any water containing fish. Do not mix with soaps, detergents, or other cleaning products. Foaming during use is normal.
