Holiday Records proudly presents the first pressing of Church & AP's debut album, TEETH (2019). Read below exerts from an interview with the artists at the time of the release: How does it feel to be releasing your new Album TEETH? It’s like buying your girlfriend a birthday present. You think she’ll like it... I mean you hope to God she’ll like it. But at the end of the day all you can is hope. BUT the more effort you put into it, the better your chances are. And I know we put a lot of effort into this. If that makes sense? Describe Church & AP in 4 words In need of money Describe your sound in 4 words Off putting but lit Tell us about the album. What is it about and who/what inspired it? What really drove this album was the desire to innovate. To create something that hasn’t been seen in NZ before. We wanted to set a new standard. Both sonically and visually. And I think we’ve been successful so far. The album is just the last step in solidifying that. Personally I took a lot of inspiration from early Neptunes, Kelis, N.E.R.D, Clipse, etc. Also more modern voices like Kah-Lo, XanMan and Shiraz. Track 8 is actually named after Shiraz. There’s a myriad of influence for TEETH. So I think each individual will find something unique in it. You're set to perform the new stuff live - What can fans expect of your live shows? Nothing but the hits... What’s next for you post-TEETH? We still gotta figure that out. I think we’ve got an idea though. And a little about you – what makes you tick? I can’t stand a waverider. Makes me sick to be honest. Hobbies, how did you get in to music etc. Anything else we should know? One day I’ll get into film. That’s a goal of mine. Might even blend it with the music.
