VINTAGE 1973 OMEGA SPEEDMASTER MARK 4.5 WITH ORIGINAL BOX

VINTAGE 1973 OMEGA SPEEDMASTER MARK 4.5 OUTSTANDING WATCH ORIGINAL BOX This wonderful Omega Speedmaster model 176.0012 was manufactured in 1973 by the serial number 36261809 engraved on the movement. This was the most technologically advanced chronograph that Omega had ever offered. An automatic movement with 12 hour recording chronograph, day-date calendar and 24 hour indicator. Tt was the pinnacle of Omega’s Speedmaster range at that time. Still in excellent condition and retaining the nice sharp edges to the shoulders etc. Having never been polished, the starburst finish to the top of the case is still very, very clear also. This is a very large watch, measuring 42mm across the bezel not including the crown and 45.mm tip-to-tip. The back, with the Omega Seamaster medallion is in perfect condition, with no scratches or gouges and the hippocampus symbol is in pristine condition. The calibre 1045 automatic movement is in very, very nice condition, seemingly having had very little use. Running strongly, winds and sets as it should. The chronograph starts promptly and snaps back to zero sharply. The black dial is absolutely superb, with no flaws. Any marks that you see in the photo’s are on the top of the glass and not on the dial. The dial retains it’s original lume also. The hands are original, retaining their original lume also. The crown and pushers are in excellent order, with just the one scratch to the crown. The glass is scratch-free, with just some minor surface imperfections commensurate with the age of the watch. The bracelet is original to the watch, the correct model for the watch and is still in excellent condition. This will fit up to a 7 & 3/4 inch wrist. The watch retains the original Omega presentation box, both inner and outer card. The mark 4.5 Speedmaster is now highly collectable, but most are in shabby condition. This exceptional example is a superb watch in every respect, you will struggle to find a better one.
