"Upcycled" Earrings

Each piece is handcrafted by Rachel Giizhikkwe, a Métis maker from Northern Ontario. Owner and operator of Sound Yarn & Fibre, Rachel finds inspiration in the forests, lakes, and wildlife that surround her, as well as in her deep connection to her Métis heritage. Her beadwork reflects a love of colour, texture, and traditional craftsmanship, with every piece made by hand in Parry Sound, Ontario. This collection is made with "Upcycled" materials. Earring backings is done with upcycled leather, beading is done with buttons, beads and findings from thrifted jewelry or clothing.
