18th Century Louis XV Semainier Chest

An exceptional Louis XV seven-drawer “Semainier” Tallboy Chest dating from the late 1700s. Crafted in rich dark mahogany with a beautifully aged patina, this antique chest of drawers remains in remarkable condition for its age. Exquisite original brass fillet inlay adorns the piece throughout, complemented by brass drawer mouldings, side panel mouldings, decorative drop handles, and escutcheons. Elegant reeded corner pillars rise from brass-mounted turned legs, terminating in traditional sabot feet. Completing the piece is a stunning shaped white marble top.
