Cagliero 2021 Barolo DOCG "Ravera" 750mL

Available on pre-arrival basis only. Barolo from the highly regarded Ravera cru, one of the region's best vineyards, due south of the Barolo township. 2021 was a perfect vintage. Stefano is very pleased with the result in this wine. The Ravera juice always spends a year in french tonneaux, followed by 2 years in large Slavonian oak. You could say this is a 2/3 traditional style Barolo. It's approachable in warmer years but built to last. A quirk of Barolo bureaucracy makes this wine quite rare indeed. There are very few single vineyard Barolo that can claim residence of two communes, but this is one of them. The Ravera vines of Cagliero include the small portion that extends into the Barolo commune, while the rest resides in Novello. ← Back to Producer range
