Floreo - Natural Porcelain and Bronze Textured Ceramic Wall Art Sculpture Made to Order

This handmade ceramic wall artwork is titled "Floreo" and is made up of 44 abstract wall art sculptures inspired by floral forms. The name Floreo is translated from Latin to mean I Bloom, or I Flourish. The wall sculpture draws its deeper meaning from the Latin phrase "Virtute non sole floreo" — "I bloom by virtue, not by the sun." Where a flower must turn toward light to grow, this phrase describes a different kind of growth: one rooted not in favorable conditions or external validation, but in character and inner resolve. It flourishes in shade, without warmth, without encouragement — sustained not by what surrounds it, but by what it holds within. It's a reminder that flourishing doesn't require perfect conditions — only the will to bloom regardless of them. All the wall art pieces are formed from beautiful high-fired white porcelain, and are perfect in modern or Japandi living spaces and as bedroom art. The individual sculptures have been finished in a mix of natural porcelain, bronze and two neutral tones. The soft pale green neutral is inspired by Farrow & Ball's Cromarty and the darker, slightly more grey finish is also inspired by Farrow & Ball's Hardwick White. I think these two tones pair perfectly with the gentle warmth of natural porcelain, to which the luxurious metallic antique bronze finish adds a pop of luxe. The stitch of thread adds a softness to the feel. The work is flexible so you could arrange it in any way that suits your space, however arranged as it is in the images, it measures approximately 46cm H x 180cm (72" x 18" - approx 6ft) wide. The largest measures approx 12cm and the smallest approx 5.5cm (approx 4.7 inches and 2.1 inches) and they stand approx 3 - 5 cm from the wall. Inspired by natural forms such as peony flowers and lichen, they bring a layered, organic textural feel to a space. Because each one is made in my hands, each piece is unique. Arranged as pictured this set takes up a space approximately 46cm x 180cm (72" x 18"). Of course, they could be stretched much wider, turned on their side to be tall and narrow, or condensed to a denser more square, spiral or circular arrangement. At 6ft wide, this piece would fit well over a larger size bed or sofa, as well as in an entryway. It's really easy and fun to arrange the set. If you are unsure of how to position them, then I recommend cutting circles of paper to the same sizes as the flowers and using blu tack to arrange them before installing the work permanently. This lets you play around with the arrangement, and take a step back to make sure you get them in positions you are happy with. Alternatively - let us help with that! There are three different options when it comes to purchasing this set - - the artwork only, - the artwork plus a template of the arrangement like it is as pictured, - or the artwork plus a custom template. With the custom template, you can send us a photo of your space, along with the dimensions of the wall you're looking to fill and any other details you'd like us to know, and we will create a composition for you. We hope we'll get the layout right for you the first time, but if we don't, one drawing revision is included in the cost. Once you are happy, we will create a full size paper installation template to make sure the work is fitted exactly as the design shows, and we'll send that out to you with your art order. Each piece has a keyhole style fitting or similar, making them super easy to hang on one small flat headed nail or screw in your wall. This is a made to order artwork so the size of each piece may vary slightly from what is shown in the image. Porcelain has a beautiful translucent quality shown in the image taken from the side - some of the light shines through. The art can be arranged in many different configurations, so it's perfect for even tricky spaces, as you can place them to suit your space.
