Two mustangs stand side by side, facing the camera as tree limbs frame their faces and offer a little shade from the sun. Behind them, their hindquarters glow in the warm light, creating a beautiful contrast between shadow and sunlight. Fox came to the sanctuary as an owner surrender because of an old broken hip injury. His companion, Moonbeam was rescued from a BLM holding pen. Two very different journeys brought them here, but today they share the same view, the same sunlight, and the safety of a place to simply be horses. Sometimes sanctuary isn't about erasing the past.
