2019 Taylor Academy 12e Grand Concert Electro-Acoustic Guitar~ Natural + GigBag

2019 Taylor Academy 12e Grand Concert Electro-Acoustic – Natural – Gig Bag A lovely example of Taylor’s Academy 12e, dating from 2019 and offering the quality, tone and comfortable playing experience that have made the Academy Series so popular. Designed to make playing as enjoyable as possible, the Academy 12e combines a compact Grand Concert body with a solid spruce top, Taylor’s slim neck profile and a thoughtfully contoured armrest. It’s a wonderfully comfortable acoustic, particularly suited to fingerstyle playing, light strumming and anyone who prefers a slightly smaller-bodied guitar. The solid spruce top produces a clear, responsive sound with excellent definition, while the layered back and sides add balance and durability. The shorter 24⅞” scale length gives the strings a slightly softer feel, making chords and more intricate passages particularly comfortable. It’s also fitted with Taylor’s ES-B electronics, complete with onboard tuner, volume and tone controls, making it equally useful at home, in the studio or plugged into an amplifier or PA system. Finished in Natural with an understated matte finish, this is a guitar that looks every bit as good as it sounds. The original Taylor padded gig bag is included. Condition This 2019 example is in good used condition and presents very nicely overall. There is some dark discolouration around the contoured armrest where the player’s arm naturally rests, together with a few small dings, light surface marks and general signs of use. There is also a small crack in the plastic surround of the ES-B electronics control panel, near the upper mounting screw, which has been glued. This is confined to the plastic housing and is not a crack in the wood. These cosmetic imperfections have been photographed for transparency. The guitar remains an attractive example, and the marks are generally less noticeable in person than under the direct lighting used for our detailed photographs. The guitar plays very well and offers the comfortable feel and balanced acoustic sound expected from a Taylor Academy model.
