Wooden Hair Clip No. 309 – Óčko

Model 309 – Óčko is an exceptionally lightweight wooden hair clip for a hair knot. Its elliptical form is created directly by freehand cutting without a fixed geometric template, so every piece is naturally unique.Model 309 surrounds the hair knot with an elegant elliptical form. Its shape is not mechanically copied from a rigid geometric template; it is created directly in the material by a clean freehand cut. Individual pieces can therefore differ naturally in subtle details.Production requires precise control of the direction and strength of the wood grain. During shaping, the cut gradually changes from across the grain to along the grain, and material is removed until only a delicate but strong shell remains, following the upper relief of the model. This construction keeps the model exceptionally lightweight while sufficiently strong for everyday use. Together with the Kompletka it secures the hair knot simply and reliably.Model 309 is one of HPstylstudio’s long-established designs. The same construction and craft principle later led to model 312, designed specifically for a French twist.
