Each FlowLift base is secured using proven insignia cloth, providing a lightweight, reliable attachment that integrates neatly with the sail. Reduced boundary-layer interference Raises the telltale approximately 4.5 mm above the sail surface, Lightweight and low profile. Very close to the sail, the airflow is slowed by the boundary layer. The boundary layer close to the luff of a sail is between 0.2 and 1.5mm. Thicker in lighter winds. Indeed around 5 to 10% aft of the luff the free-stream airflow height off the sail is between 1 and 4mm off the sail.
