Beige 57108 Prince of Wales Long Sleeve Knit Polo

Most of us own a polo or two. Not many are knit with a Prince of Wales check. This one has it worked right into the fabric in tonal beiges, so it reads as texture first and pattern second. It’s the check you’d normally see on a suit or a sport coat, knit into a polo instead. The yarn is 70% wool and 30% silk, the silk there for a softer handle than straight wool, which helps with a collar against your neck all day. It has a knit polo collar and a button placket, with ribbed cuffs and hem to finish it. The family behind it has been knitting in Abruzzo since 1952 and still runs the place. Standard fit. Order the chest size you wear in a sport coat, and if you sit between sizes take the larger. The tag inside carries the Italian number, so a 42 from us is marked 52. Wear it under a navy blazer where a shirt and tie would usually go. On a weekend it’s good with grey flannels and brown suede.
