Eucorydia dasytoides zonata

is a small, visually striking roach species native to Vietnam, known for its metallic blue black body and bright orange markings on the wings. Its compact size, gentle behavior, and vivid appearance make it one of the most attractive beginner-friendly roaches in the hobby. This species looks familiar to its cousin Eucorydia yamatsui but Eucorydia dasytoides zonata is significantly bigger. These roaches are easy to care for, non-climbing, and display moderate activity, making them ideal for both display enclosures and beginner invertebrate setups. Environment: Tropical enclosure with leaf litter, bark, moss, and plenty of hiding places Humidity: Moderate to high; maintain moist substrate with occasional misting Diet: Leaf litter, vegetables, fruits, fish flakes, and calcium-rich supplements Behavior: Peaceful and group-tolerant, active at night, prefers low disturbance Temperature: 22–27 °C
