This is a self-guided kayak tour, which means there is no tour group to follow and no guide setting the pace. You rent the equipment, get oriented, and head out on your own. Choose a single kayak and paddle solo, or grab a tandem kayak and bring someone along. Take your time. Enjoy the scenery. Get some fresh air. And enjoy being on the water. Know Before You Go This is a self-guided kayak tour and rental. You're renting the equipment and exploring the Wailua River on your own rather than joining a guided tour. This is a river-only experience. There is currently no hiking to or access to Secret Falls with this rental. Allow time for pickup and safety orientation. Wailua River State Park fees are separate from your kayak rental. YOUR WAILUA RIVER ADVENTURE Three Parts. One Beautiful River. 1. The Paddling Part Grab your paddle and head up the Wailua River. You'll make your way through lush tropical scenery while enjoying one of Kauai's most beautiful waterways. Take your time, settle into the rhythm of the river, and enjoy the ride. No tour group. No schedule to follow. Just you, your kayak, and the Wailua. 2. The Exploring Part Once you're on the river, the adventure is yours. Paddle, explore, take in the scenery, stop for a photo, or simply enjoy being outside. There's no need to rush. This is your chance to experience Wailua River kayaking at your own pace. You're not following a guide or trying to keep up with a group. You get to enjoy the river your way. 3. The Chillin' Part This is where you remember you're on vacation. Slow down. Take in the tropical scenery. Enjoy the sunshine and the peaceful rhythm of the river. Maybe you're chatting with your paddling partner. Maybe you're taking pictures.
