Stanley Rule & Level Co No 26 Transitional Plane

Stanley Rule & Level Co No 26 Transitional Plane This plane came into us with a label attached, (photo included), stating that this is a new & unused plane. The body and main components of the plane certainly seem to be in excellent condition, however the iron and chip breaker are clearly from another plane which has seen some use. The iron is a Stanley Rule & Level Co iron. The lever cap is also not correct to the plane as it should have knurled detail in its casting.
