Joan ePaper Badge 4-Inch Reusable E-Paper ID Badge with NFC and Bluetooth

The Joan ePaper badge is a reusable digital name tag that replaces printed paper and plastic ID cards for visitors, employees and event attendees. Its 4-inch electronic paper display shows a name, photo, company, department or any custom field pulled straight from the Joan Workplace platform, and it re-syncs whenever the record behind it changes, so a new hire, a substitute delegate or a corrected title never means a reprint. Company templates and department colors keep a whole fleet of badges looking consistent. Each badge updates over Bluetooth 5.1 from the Joan Mobile App or a visitor kiosk, with no cables, label printers or card stock to maintain. An onboard NXP MIFARE DESFire EV3 NFC chip can be keyed to a building's access-control system where supported, turning the badge into a credential that opens doors as well as identifying the wearer. Up to six layouts can be stored on one badge and switched with a resync, which lets the same hardware move between the visitor, employee and event use cases. A 100 mAh rechargeable battery supports roughly 700 display updates per charge and tops up on any standard Qi wireless pad, with a red LED while charging and battery status reported in the Joan Portal. The white PVC and PET housing weighs about an ounce and measures 2.61 x 4.09 x 0.11 inches. A Joan subscription (Team plan or higher) plus an annual per-badge license is required to configure and update badges.
