MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS SYLLABUS BOOK

Musical theatre is one of the most exciting and relevant performance forms today; vibrant, expressive and continually evolving. At its core lies ensemble performance: the dynamic collaboration through which storytelling, musicality and movement come together with clarity, energy and shared intent. These Musical Theatre Awards have been designed to reflect the standards and expectations of ensemble practice within musical theatre. They guide performers to develop the skills required to work cohesively as a group demonstrating teamwork, spatial awareness, characterisation, and a collective sense of performance purpose. Developed within an RAD framework and informed by industry professionals, the Musical Theatre Awards reflect the realities of rehearsal and performance today. They support high-quality teaching and learning through clear progression and assessment pathways focused on performance skills, enabling groups to work towards a shared goal and gain recognition for their collaborative achievement.
